- during yesterday’s (20130612) rout, i unloaded $COO $CBRL $IEP $V.
- today i picked up some stocks that were on my radar this week and last week such as $HBI $OCN $RKT.
- these that i picked up today $GMCR $LNKD $MDSO $ROST $TRIP were based on improving technical indicators.
- stocks that popped up on my radar today that i don’t hold but find interesting are $CYH $LL $PRAA $RH.
- i also like the following that were on my watch list for this passed monday $AMG $VRX $CAM $WDR $UHS $BEAV $COG $GILD $DNKN $BIIB $HEI $ASPS $WDC $TYL $LIFE $FLT $CSGP $BBSI.
- i also trimmed back my $VXX position but still hold some.
- top performers i help prior to today $AE +7.8%, $CME +2.57%, $MGA 2.15%, $CBOE +1.88%, $FNGN +1.83%, $CELG 1.82%, $NKE +0.57%, $MMLP +0.07%

- this stock recently break out and will let the holding ride. no plans to make any changes till another entry pattern develops.
- all these names in the table above finished positive for the days. other names made highs but finished negative. those were JPM WDR PNC UNF BDC MELI GILD VRTS EXP TYL FEIC.
other setups to watch in todays 52wk highs list
- CVI – breaking out on high volume through a resistance level of 65. i added 1/4 pos today. fresh off of a weekly MACD xUP last week.
- OCN – continuing to move higher after breaking out of a long consolidation on may-10. weekly MACD xUP at breakout. 42.2 was the level i was watching. today closed at 44.31. i bought additional 1/4 a few days after and will maintain neutral for now. still not too late for entry.
- VAL likely to continue to make new new highs after weekly MACD xUP during the week before last. still time for entry this week.

CBOE 30yr T-bond treasury yield index
- since my previous post on this subject, i have moved my est out when 30yr T-bond yield index $TYX would bottom from may-31-2013 to jun-14-2013.
notable 52 week highs
- i have 1 notable high to mention based on my rather stringent criteria: $LNKD
- i held $LNKD until today and sold for a good gain. great stock, great company but i’m bearish cyclical & aggressive growth equities & the major equity indexes until treasury yields reverse direction. i’ll look to possibly get back in $LNKD at that point.
trading outlook & equity positions
- again, for the near-term, i’m bearish major equity indexes as well as cyclical & aggressive growth sectors in particular until there’s more visibility with interest rates change momentum going back higher. i am long a few remaining equities at the moment (see finviz charts & data): $AMT $ANSS $ASML $AXP $C $CCI $CHD $DE $DTE $DXPE $GMCR $HES $PAA $PNC $PVH $TDG $TGI $TRIP. i may add to defensive related equities like consumer staples, health care, utilities & such.
- i am short-term long the following bond related etfs (see finviz charts & info): $BOND $LQD $LTPZ $PDI $TLT and will likely add to them on dips of these holdings until risk-on sentiment has returned to the market – when bond yields change momentum.
